This Christmas season, families of the Demize Academy helped spread joy by serving others. The u10 Nationals, u11 boys navy, u8 and u9 girls, and high school Lady Demize teams and their parents served food to approximately 200 people at the Veterans Coming Home Shelter for the homeless. Demize academy coach Scott Nichols has seen this event evolve over time. "This is a tradition that started with the Nationals several years ago and has continued with the Demize-Nationals partnership. It was well received by all who participated," he said. "It was a great day to provide a meal to the homeless veterans and our Demize family felt humbled to be able to help, even in a small way," Demize parent Amy Rinne added. The day ended with several of the players handing out Christmas gifts to those who attended the event.
