Weekend Futsal Roundup
TDSC compiles 13-1-3 record in Futsal Leagues at LCS and KC

First up Total Prodigy U-17 girls faced off against Mo Valley and started off the league in flying fashion, cruising to a 9-0 win.  Marin hit four, while Erica got a hat trick en route to the victory.  Hali H and Lacey netted one a piece in the first game.

Next Up was KC Futura White, and the Fusion got off to an ideal start, hitting two quick goals.  The early deficit served as a wake up call to the character of the League, and Prodigy went on a scoring streak, with five players combining to win the game 9-3.  Erica netted a hattrick, while Abby and Lacey hit for two.  Shebly and Emma each had one a piece as Fusion failed to score in the second half.

Total Prodigy then came up against Blue Valley Stars Espanyol, giving the girls their closest game at the time.  Marin continued her scoring run, hitting twice, while Emma, Erica, Halie O, and Lacey each netting one a piece in a 6-4 victory.  The strongest game of the opening week for the girls came in the form of Blue Valley Stars Sevilla, who are always a tough opponent.  Marin hit yet another hattrick, while Abby, Emma, and Erica each had one to end the gam 6-6.  Every girl scored over the weekend for Total Prodigy on the way to 30 goals for, and only allowing 13 over the four game period.

The U-14 Total Demize 2012 team went three for three in the opening weekend, only allowing six goals.  Jacob and Alex played a half each game, changing out at half time of each game.  The first game got off to a flying start against Blue Valley CS Stars ManU, cruising to a 9-0 victory.  Tony lead the way in goal scoring, hitting a hattrick, wile Jacob and Tyler both hit for two.  Avery and Jack finished out the goal scoring, hitting one a piece.  The boys next faced the KC Nighthawks, and had a collaborative team effort to reach the 8-3 final score.  Tyler and Alex each had two a piece, with Jack, Kyle, Parker, and Tony each hitting for one.  The boys wrapped up a successful weekend with another 8-3 victory, playing again against BVCS Stars Manu.  The Kansas City team learned from their first mistakes, hitting three times but only allowed in one less goal.  Jack and Kyle lead the game in scoring with two a piece, with Alex, Avery, Tony, and Tyler each hitting one a piece.

The final team participating in the Kansas City Super F were the TDSC U-15 girls.  This was the girls first foray into the futsal world in the Super F, and found it difficult to find their feet in the first three games.  Their two openers ended 3-3, with the first game against Mo Valley Rapid, and second against Blue Valley SC Atletico White.  On Sunday they faced LUSC Thunder 16, with the score 1-0 at half.  The girls were able to find the net once against their opponents, but Thunder went on a five goal scoring streak in the second half, and eclipsed the single margin, taking the game 6-1.  The U-15 girls had a chance at retribution later in the day, taking on BVSC Atletico Gold.  The game was back and forth, with both teams freely finding the back of the net.  Head Coach Chris Hanlon called a time out with 10 minutes left in the match to instill calm with the score line in TDSC’s favor, and the girls pulled through, winning the match 10-8 showing their true character.

In Springfield League play continued as normal with six games in the record books.  The first game of the day came for the U-10 Blue boys, facing off against a tough Nixa Nighthawks team.  Being tied 1-1 at half with a goal from Thomas with an assist from Jaxon, who turned on his flair to win the game 2-1 in the second half.

The U-12 boys played against the Ozark Blazers, pushing out a gritty 6-1 victory.  The boys found it difficult to cope with the Blazers strong team defending, but still managed to put six on the board through a full team effort.  The TDSC 97/98 team played directly after, facing a very tough Nixa SC Eagles team.  After falling asleep in the opening minutes and allowing an early goal, the girls showed true character as Brooke sent in a rocket to level things up before half time.  With the game tied at half, the girls came out focused, with Daily getting the game winner and Total controlling the game not allowing another goal, remaining undefeated in leauge play this season.

TDSC U-9 Girls were up next, playing against Crush, and putting in a strong team effort to come away with a victory over an personnel depleted opponent.  The game was highlighted with Erin getting her first goal of the season, as the girls were crowned Champions after winning every game in their League.  TDSC U-10 Boys Yellow were next up in the Red division, taking on a strong Wizards team. The game started out with Jaxon, a notorious goalscorer, playing in goal, only allowing two goals in the first half.  The game was back and forth in the first half, with Taylor stepping up to take a late penalty kick to put the boys back into the game, tying the score at 2-2.  Jaxon stepped out of goal, allowing his alternate striker/goalkeeping partner Kaleb to take up the gloves.  Kaleb was unfortunate to let up an early goal in the second half, but kept his composure making save after save in the tight game.  Jaxon again turned on his goalscoring magic, hitting a quickfire hattrick to put the game firmly in Total’s control.  The game was put on ice as a Magic player attempted to volley a shot that Kaleb had already dove to save, kicking the young keeper in the face.  But staying true to his determination, after Jaxon slotted back into goal, he assured everyone he was alright and even wanted to go back in.

The final game of the day was a 9:00 PM game for the U-11 boys against Springfield Irish.  Both teams were undefeated heading into the fixture, and most of the Irish squad had a year in age advantage on the Total boys.  The game started in Irish’s favor, scoring twice to eclipse Total’s early goal.  It took one moment of luck as the Irish goalkeeper mishandled a tame shot, allowing the roller in between his legs to tie things up.  Irish scored another two goals before half time, with the Total boys having a 4-2 mountain to climb in the second half.  Coach Andrew Vorce took the boys aside at half time and assured them that the game was theirs to win, urging the boys to find perfection in the second half.  The half time talk worked, as goal after goal came, with Total going on a five goal scoring streak and not allowing a single second half goal to take the victory 7-4.

Overall it was a very successful weekend for TDSC, with the Kansas City Super Futsal League teams going 7-1-3 and the Lake Country Soccer Futsal league going 6-0.
