Demize earn three points in the first round of the M3's Heartland Cup

DEMIZE WIN HOME OPENER 10-7

Demize earn three points in the first round of the M3's Heartland Cup

A pair of hat tricks by Francisco Delgado (#11) and former Drury Panther Alvero Hernandez (#6) lead the Demize offensive on a night that saw six players find the back of the net. Abou Diallo (#22), Stephen Alsayed (#2), Jeremiah Musa (#17) and Desmond Williams (#5) all tailed one goal each that saw the Demize score 8 goals in the first 3 quarters of the game. Michel Allou (#19) lead the team with three assists.

The defense was lead by captain Eric Piereira (#10) and Jordan Houseman (#4). Goalkeeper Nico Helin was at top form stopping 15 shots and conceding only 3 goals through 54 minutes of regulation. All credit to Sunflower State FC who showed tremendous heart and intensity throughout the match scoring 4 goals in the final six minutes and thirty seconds of the game. KC's addition of the sixth attacker made for some exciting moments during the fourth quarter. When the final whistle blew the Demize were able to hold off the late surge from Sunflower to claim three points with a 10-7 victory.

The Springfield Demize will be on the road to face Wichita FC M3 at Hartman Arena on January 8th. Make sure to check out the Demize on Facbook or Instagram to get updates on the season.
